ABOUT US

Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week!

The Colts Neck Volunteer First Aid Squad provides emergency medical services (EMS) to the residents of Colts Neck, those who work and play in our town and those who are “just passing through.” Comprised of volunteers of all ages and from all walks of life, the First Aid Squad provides aid to those in need at no cost; the Squad relies primarily on donations to cover operational expenses.

The Colts Neck Volunteer First Aid Squad is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. The Squad does not rely on tax dollars for our daily operating expenses, and none of our members are paid for their work. Our expenses involve vehicle and equipment purchases and maintenance, training, supplies and the like. All ambulances, and equipment are purchased and owned by the Squad.

While donations are always welcome and appreciated, the Squad’s greatest need is people. Members are the most important ingredient in providing quality care to our patients. No prior experience is needed. The Squad will provide the training, either in-house or by paying the costs associated with training programs run by other organizations in the area, from your initial training through EMT certification, as well as continuing education. Membership requirements are: age 16 or older (for cadet squad, 18 or older for senior squad), and interest in helping others. The First Aid Squad provides all the training, uniforms, and life insurance.
